To make a long story short, I've got $100 credit at my local dealer where I get a lot of my stuff. I've got all the hardware I want, or at least that I can afford. What if any little things are there that I can purchase to improve my system? I've got decent interconnects, I was thinking of speaker wire, but mine is already AudioQuest, the blue stuff with 4 solid wires in it. Any suggestions? I know this is a dumb question, but I consider myself a novice with this stuff so I thought I'd seek some advice from people who know more than I do.

If you have all the hardware, why not get some good software. SACDs, DVDA's etc...

why not put it towards a better master remote control if you don't have one already?

Remote would be an idea, my receiver remote does about everything though. Probably can't get much of one for $100, plus it depends on what they sell I guess. They don't have any software, can't do that.

An eq of some sort for your subwoofer? That would sure be cool. Even if ya had to kick in some extra.

EQ'd subs are the ice'n on the cake with subs, in my opinion. Single channel parametric shouldn't cost all that much should it? Then again I'll bet EQ's made specifically for subs cost a mint. I'd at least see what they might have.

That might be a good idea. I've got an Energy sub that's a couple years old, it does have an input though for an eq. Hmmm......

I'd take the $100 credit and sit on it until you can afford to upgrade your existing hardware.

I can't think of much worth $100 to be honest.

Well, it's going to be a while before I can make the next upgrade I want to make as far as hardware goes. Even if I can get some cables and sell them on ebay that's better than letting it sit for a year.

Headphones? Possibly, a pair of Grado headphones if your dealer sells them.
