What sound mode on receiver for cable tv? (1 Viewer)

Just wandering what sound mode on the receiver do most people use when watching standard cable tv?

If you find that collapses too much toward the center, you could also try music mode.

DTS Neo:6 Cinema

It seems to make better use of the surrounds and actually uses the center rear in a 6.1 setup. I don't notice DPL II Movie mode using the rear center at all.

Dolby Pro-Logic II only uses the rear surrounds,but it must be in stereo.

David, are you saying that DPL II Movie mode makes NO use of the surrounds? That only Music mode uses the surrounds? This seems backwards.

No. I'm saying that there is no center rear speaker for Dolby Pro-Logic II. It only 5.1 not 6.1.

A suprising amount of cable channels STILL don't broadcast in stereo.
