Does anyone know the name of the piano piece that was commonly played on the Charlie Brown TV specials? I believe Schroeder always played it as Snoopy did his happy dance. It's a very catchy tune that has also been appearing in a commercial or two.

    Thanks,

    Jon

I think it was called, "Lucy and Linus" or vice versa. Damn, why is it that every time I see your name, I think Jon Arbuckle from Garfield? [IMG]

    try vince guaraldi trio.
i own 5 cd's of his music much of it is used in charlie brown cartoons.
the most known song is called the "linus and lucy" theme.
but there is a song called "schroeder" which may be the song he plays.
here is a link to one cd with sound clips.
i just noticed two song titles are misspelled on the clips list
on good grief ..should be oh good grief.
and lynas should be spelled linus.
he also has a song called cast your fate to the wind that sounds very much like a charlie brown song but was not.
    here

Thanks, everyone....yep, that's it: Vince Guaraldi Trio, "Linus and Lucy". There's actually a better clip of it on cdnow . I hadn't realized this was an piece written specifically for Peanuts.
Dome, that's really strange. Whenever I see your name, I think of the Toronto Maple Leafs (hockey) player Tie Domi. Not kidding.

The Marsallis family put out a fantastic CD of music from the Peanuts series a few years back. Wonderful interpretations of Guaraldi's brilliant compositions.

NP: House of Pain: "Same As It Ever Was".
