What Releases Would Complete Your Favorite TV Season(s) (1 Viewer)

We all have our all time favorite TV season or seasons so I'm wondering what legitimate releases would you need to see to make for a complete set for you. I know it would be easy to just laundry list every show from those seasons that remain unreleased, but let's face facts, even in our favorite seasons, we wouldn't be interested in every show. SO what I've done here is take my favorite season (65-66) and listed what would need to come on on proper DVD's for me to call my set "complete". I have also included which ones I already have on "alternate" sets and a general prediction for each of possible future release. Know in advance that most of these things stand a "snowballs chance" of ever coming out at this point but I still thought it might be fun.

My Three Sons - Season 6 - Own Complete Alternate Set - Future release unlikely

Peyton Place - Season 2 - Fox (need I say more)

Double Life of Henry Phyfe - No chance

OK Crackerby - No way

Run For Your Life - Season 1 - Own Complete Alternate Set - I Pray for it's proper release, but not likely.

Camp Runamuck - Not happening

Hank - Supposedly coming out believe it or not.

12 'O' Clock High - Season 2 - Own Complete Alternate Set - Fox- Nope.

The Loner - Would be great for Timeless, but unlikely as Timeless releases little anymore.

Slattery's People - Doubtful

Long Hot Summer - Never

Ben Casey - Season 5 - CBS has zero interest in this classic show.

Believe it or not, Xiaolin Showdown, which is a cartoon series that ran on the WB a decade ago. The first season came out on DVD, but not the following subsequent three seasons.

Same with Superman and the Legion on Super Heroes. Season 2 never came out.

Hmmm. Off the top of my head, I would love to see Season 2 & 3 of Mayberry R.F.D. to be released--that would mean that the Mayberry Trilogy would be complete (Andy, Gomer & RFD).


Also, would love to see the completion of Petticoat Junction and Green Acres.


On the drama side, it would be nice to see the completion of McCloud.

Although I'd love to see any season of Ben Casey released on DVD, season 5 (1965-66) was probably the weakest. The show lost some steam when Sam Jaffe left in 1964 and the writing wasn't quite as strong as earlier seasons.

CBS has totally put this award winning show on the back burner, releasing crappier shows instead.

Shame on them.

The Jack Benny Program is certianly tops the list but Ed Sullivan and The Hollywood Palace seems very rare and hard to find due to music clearance rights.but California Dreams and Parker Lewis Can't Lose might be getting close to complete and getting rerelease by shout factory would be great.

Family seasons 3-5 on tsod would be great.i think shout factory should continue releasing seasons 3-5 of this 70's family tv drama.and The Rookies on my tsod list seasons 3-4 would be great.but Mayberry Rfd seasons 2-3 tops them all.
