Maybe an Onkyo SR501, seems a decent match anyways.

You don't want to go to powerful, or your Sub just won't be able to keep up so to speak.

the 501, is 6.1 and has component video switching, and the sound modes needed to make good use of the 6.1 too.

I ordered a refurb'd one from ecost for like $180 with free shipping.

    Good luck with your purchase!!!

I can vouch for the TX-SR501. Its a nice receiver. plenty of power. make sure you set it to Subwoofer Mode 3 if you want to enjoy LFE [IMG]

Skip the Monster Cable. It's not worth it unless the simple fact you own marked up cable makes you feel better [IMG]

Well sure, better is better afterall, if you go with one of those, and you find your sub is not keeping up. You can always buy a different sub.

Just to report back, I found the Onkyo SR-501 to be a solid performer on both HT and music, had an impressive very high end sound. I installed one last night...

    Good luck on your purchase.
