In being new to this great hobby, I was wondering what the next step was in getting everything possible out of my HT stuff. 3802 receiver, dvd-1600, IL60's,IL36c, IL10's. I like movies and jazz. Maybe some Metalica now and then.
    Thanks, dave-u

The single biggest improvement I made to my system was the Avia disk and a SPL meter (it was also the cheapest!). Audio and video were greatly improved in a matter of hours.

You did not say what your video display is. Viewing environment conditions are frequently overlooked. Check out www.ideal-lume.com . Study up on speaker placement issues and room acoustics. No matter what equipment you own the room can, and usually does, alter its performance significantly, both the audio and video stuff.
    Best regards and beautiful pictures,
