I've been reading "Total Movie & Entertainment" since issue 1 and the UK based magazine, "Empire", for 5 months.

Which magazines (if any) do you read on a normal basis, or recommend? It seem the UK has a ton of movie/DVD magazines, while the US is stuck with "Total Movie", which seems to disappear every couple of months.

I've got a subscription to Total Movie, but once it's up I don't plan to renew. The writing is for the most part bad and the discs tend to suck most of the time. I know they put Species on a recent disc which a lot of people were excited about (I would have preferred another independent flick), but then they did it in P&S [IMG].
I can't say I really read any on a regular basis. If I'm heading out of town I might pick up an issue of something to read on the trip, but I prefer to get my info online. Most magazines are so out of date due to lead times that I've already read the news before it hits the stands.

I regularly buy Empire, Total Film and Hotdog movie magazines.
I also buy 'DVD Review' mag, which this month had a free 30min 'making of Spiderman' DVD and also included trailers.
I irregularly buy Premiere mag, and Sight & Sound mag.

Most of my general film news comes from Entertainment Weekly and Variety. Otherwise, I regularly read Film & Video, Millimeter, Videography, and Post.

    Subscriptions to:
Premiere (though I wish it had more reviews)
Entertainment Weekly (which has come to be, sometimes, in some respects, even better than Premiere at covering movies)

    Buy occasionally at newsstands:
    Empire
    Total Film

    Husband reads:
    Film & Video
    Millimeter
    Post
    Various Home Theater magazines

I have like 10 years of Premiere though numerous sources. That's my sole movie magazine at the moment. The internet has replaced the need for any form of movie related information.

My pal Josh gives me his EWs the day after he gets 'em. Fun bathroom reading, but hardly a brilliant magazine.

Whenever I'm at Borders or Barnes & Noble, I page through Cinefex, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and a few other magazines. But the only movie-related magazine I regularly buy is Star Wars Insider.
