What movie is this? (Funny Bathroom Scene) (1 Viewer)

A friend and I were discussing bathroom antics when we both remembered a movie with a scene in it, where an average middle class man is in high society and enters a bathroom of a very nice restaurant. When hes about to wash his hands, the bathroom attendant turns on the faucet for him, and he doesnt realize why the attendant is doing this. So he moves to another sink and the attendant turns that sink on for him, and he keeps moving down to another sink until he reaches the end. Then after he figures out whats going on, he sees a tray of free sample colognes and after finding out theyre free, he takes all of them and leaves the bathroom.

I have no idea who any of the actors are, or anything else about the movie, just that one scene. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks.

I think this is OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS starring Dana Carvey...but I could be wrong.

Heh, thanks for the info! Opportunity Knocks does come to mind, its just been so long since I've seen it, I wasnt sure.

And to explain how the conversation got started, me and this guy both work in the same department and we both happened to run into the bathroom at the same time today and I jokingly asked if we had to go back to work, and he said we could just stay in here (meaning the bathroom), and then I said, yeah, well, but then we would have to act non-conspicuous, and then the idea of being bathroom attendants came up, and then we both thought of that movie!

Glad to see there are other fans of this film...I think this was Carvey's best! That might not be saying much for some, but I have always had a great time with this one.

The best movie I've seen him in was "Spinal Tap" (he's Billy Crytal's mime assistant at the party).

I was about to say it was a Peter Sellers film from the 60's, but that had him accidently destroying a bathroom, like Jim Carey in Pet Detective.
