Far and away, YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE. Next, ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE. I'm really only interested in the Connerys, but OHMSS is quite good (and happened during Connery's tenure as Bond, so I tend to include it as a Connery-less Connnery Bond film, if that makes sense). Diamonds are Forever ain't great, but I still want it.

I think we can all agree that only one of the really popular Bond films will be in the next volume.

If they tried to actually package Spy Who Loved Me, Diamonds Are Forever and You Only Live Twice in the same set, that would effectively gut at least one of the remaining volumes.

I expect one each of these films to be in the remaining 3 volumes, with the other movies sprinkled in with them.

I voted for Goldeneye for this go-round. I still think it will probably be either YOLT or DAF in the package, along with either OHMSS or Living Daylights.

The rest of the films likely wouldn't pop up until the Blu-ray release of Bond 23.

I'm thinking:

Late 2012 (with the theatrical release of Bond 23)
(Unless they do decide to put something out late this year...)

Volume 4 with 3 Bond Blus (which we're all discussing)

Volume 5 with 3 Bond Blus (see above)

Quantum of Solace 2-Disc Collector's Edition (which was already prepared but remains unreleased)

Perhaps a 50th Anniversary Blu of Doctor No...

Mid 2013

Volume 6 with 3 Bond Blus (including Spy Who Loved Me)

Bond 23 Blu

Volume 7 with 3 Daniel Craig Bond Blus

Just a thought...

I think On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a no brainer for the holidays box set! My second choice for the second box, if we're strategically spacing out the titles so each wave will have a very popular title is GoldenEye. and the third box would have The Spy Who Loved Me.

Roger "Eyebrows" Moore has never been a favourite Bond of mine (he did some other parts reasonably well: The Saint, Ivanhoe).

George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton were seriously underrated in this role, but the number one (and really only) Bond, James Bond is ...

Oh, well. Who else?

I mean, the series should not be allowed to continue with too many other Bonds, as long as the Connery Bonds have not been released - all! - yet.

I voted for The Spy Who Loved Me. I'm going to see a screening of the film in Omaha this Friday! Can't wait to see it in a theater setting!

Really? I remember that was a problem with the first US pressing on regular DVD. Was the error carried over to the BD or are you just misremembering? Which scene?

There are no missing scenes on the Never Say Never blu.

So what? Are they afraid of the truth, that one actor is preferred above the others?

That would also be my choice.

I was in my local Barnes & Nobles store today and they had the blu ray box sets 1 & 2 at 50% off. With the discount they were around $30, which is a pretty good deal for 3 Bond films on blu ray. Good luck!

My most wanted would be:

On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Goldeneye

The Spy Who Loved Me

After that, I'd also pick up Tomorrow Never Dies and The Living Daylights. They can keep the rest.:)

GoldenEye. The best Brosnan flick by a mile and one of my favorite overall Bond films.

Interesting that OHMSS is leading the poll. I actually would've expected You Only Live Twice to be up there given that it's one of the favorite Connery's.

Diamonds Are Forever is probably my favorite of the Connery's. I enjoy all of them though.

I'm really looking forward to The Spy Who Loved Me, A View to A Kill and Octopussy. Huge fan of the Moore films. Octopussy was the first James Bond film that I saw.

I'm planning on picking up all 9. Hopefully this year, but more likely 2012 with Bond 23.

It's crazy that the work done for these Bond blu ray's by Lowry was done in 2005 and we are STILL waiting for 9 of them on blu ray in 2011!!!!! The work by Lowry was completed in time for the films to come out in 2005 as the UE DVD's however since Casino Royale was pushed back until 2006, the releases were pushed back until that time as well. In 2006, blu ray also hit the market and I was very hopeful that MGM and Fox would move forward with issuing the Bond films on both the UE DVD's as well as blu ray at that time.

It would be great for MGM and Fox to give us some news or an update about the other 9 releases as well as the Quantum of Solace special edition blu ray. Especially some of the questions about correcting the UE DVD issues Goldeneye, You Only Live Twice, OHMSS and A View To A Kill.

Alas MGM is pretty quiet about their releases, etc.

Well, for me 'A View To A Kill' was the first Bond movie that I actually remember seeing. In that sense, despite the movie being fairly crap, it still has that nostalgia factor for me.

Having said that, I didn't vote for it... I went for The Living Daylights. :)

Sorry, but no. Granted, they're both bottom echelon, but for sheer awfulness nothing tops Moonraker.

I love Moonraker!!! So much for my opinion huh?

You Only Live Twice is one that I'm always bored with. I do own that one and plan on getting it on blu ray too, btw. : )

YOLT has an awesome soundtrack though. One of John Barry's best.

Both A View To A Kill and Tomorrow Never Dies are easily the nadirs of the remaining titles, with perhaps Octopussy running behind them by a bit. I guarantee you only one of each will be on each set, with the rest of the movies divvied up.
