OK, I am either getting extra red lines or the bright red objects in my image are not being line doubled properly. I know there is a "chroma bug" with some dish receivers but I also notice this effect, to a lesser extent, when I am using my DVD player. I have a Toshiba 43HX70 and a non-prog. scanned JVC DVD player which is connected to one of the HD video inputs on the TV. Any ideas why the DVD images would also have a problem with bright red objects???????

Tony:
Many DVD players also suffer from the "chroma bug", which tends to manifest itself as artifacts in objects of a saturated red colour (though it in fact affects all colours).
The only players that don't suffer from the bug are Panasonic players and those that use the Mediamatics chipset. Also, I think the new Philips player is lacking the bug.

I thought the Kenwood Sovereign with the Faroudja chip is Chroma free.
And yes, I read the Philips is Chroma free.
