    Star Wars?
    Scarface?
    Apocalypse Now?
    The Godfather?
    Citizen Kane?
    Spaceballs?
Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

The list goes on. There are many movies from many different genres whose scripts contain classic pieces of dialogue that will live forever in our collective memories. Which movie do you think is quoted the most?

For a realistic answer, i would have to choose star wars. very quotable plus a zillion fans.

My votes for most quoted personally are

Office Space, Big Lebowski, Breakfast Club, The Holy Grail, and maybe Tombstone.

I second "Casablanca". Not only is it still quoted often, but it's older than most other quotable movies, which naturally means it's been quoted more. [IMG]

Those are quoted pretty often still...

Personally, the movie I've quoted the most is probably "Beverly Hills Cop". [IMG]

Casablanca is quoted so much, most people do not even know they are quoting it, it is a part of the culture.

    Here's looking at you, kid . . .

A very difficult question to answer. You can look at is in few ways; which movie has been quoted the most as an aggregate by all people over all time, which movie was quoted most for its time, or which movie is currently quoted most. Of course, demographics probably plays a huge part.

That said, these movies are quoted quite heavily among my friends (I took a small poll):

    Top Gun
    Ferris Bueller’s Day off
    Star Wars (OT of course)
    Big Lebowski
    Caddyshack
    Fletch
    Office Space
    Clerks

I quote Tommy Boy alot because I'm alot like Chris Farley in many ways. I'm not sure how much it's generally quoted though. I agree with most of the movies mentioned so far. I think Wayne's World 1 and 2 and the 3 Austin Powers movies are quoted alot too. I'm sure The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, a Clockwork Orange, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest are quoted alot too.

1980-1990: Raging Bull, Caddyshack, Raiders of the Lost Ark, ET, The Karate Kid, ALL John Hughes movies, The Color of Money, Top Gun, Risky Business, Hoosiers, Major League, Fletch, Wall Street, Rain Man, Dead Poets Society, Field of Dreams, Raising Arizona, National Lampoon's Vacation, Scarface, Three Amigos, Spies like Us, Parenthood, Spinal Tap, Princess Bride, When Harry met Sally, Die Hard, The Terminator,

    Casablanca isn't even close!!

I don't think I've ever heard anyone quote Casablanca, but a movie like Scarface I hear all the time.

No one has mentioned Back to the Future, which seems to get quoted a lot.

I agree with Matt, I wouldn't put Casablanca at the top of a list of most quoted movies.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail
    Scarface
    Forrest Gump
    Star Wars
    Batman

    Movies Ive heard quoted alot.
