Has anybody tried using any of the 2.4 GHz wireless controllers in conjunction with a wireless headset? Logitech makes a 900 MHZ wireless headset. COuldn't you put the card in base slot and hook up the base unit for the headset there also? You would have two wireless devices, one in the 2.4 GHz range and one in the 900 MHz range so there shouldn't be any interference. Just wondering since Overstock.com had the headset units for $30....

I imagine that would work, but it reeks of 'pain in the ass'. ;) I'm not a fan of cobbled together solutions. I guess the big question is how much of an extra battery drain would an onboard accessory slot really add? Microsoft, I hope you're listening!

Jay,

Just wondering if you came up with any solutions/alternatives?

I want to do the same thing as you when I finish my basement.
