What years of MGM releases are currently owned by Warner Bros, and which still by MGM? Isn't there a year in the early 80's at which point MGM maintains ownership of its titles? I am asking specifically about PENNIES FROM HEAVEN, WHOSE LIFE IS IT ANYWAY and SHOOT THE MOON, which are all from 1981-82.

I believe Warner controls MGM product from 1986 and earlier. The only exception are the titles that were originally distributied under the United Artists banner, which is why they were able to maintain ownership of the Rocky & Bond franchises.

Thank you so much Brian. That answered a question I had about Polygram's "Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii" I've been trying to figure out for years. By the article anyway, MGM holds full rights to Polygram product.
So come on MGM, let's get Pink Floyd at Pompeii out already!
Pretty please?
