I like to watch ALOT of TV
When nothing is on, I like to watch a movie, usually once a day, sometimes more on weekends.
I also listen to alot of music, but that is beside the point.

    My question is this:

Would a projector meet my needs? I konw the bulbs and stuff burn out, needing replacement. But I want to know if I should be looking at projectors or stick with the other beastly displays.

I'd get a projector if you have the room for it (light controlled). Regardless, if you get something like an CRT-RPTV, tubes wear just the same as a CRT FP setup, and if you get a digital pj RPTV, you get the same bulb replacement costs as a FP. Either way, if you have the dark room, you're looking at similar costs, why not go for a bigger picture?
