Another strike against digital projectors is that most are not intended for home theater use and only produce good results when driven by a PC (or more specifically an HTPC).
While the results can be phenomenal when a digital projector is driven at its native resolution by a well setup HTPC, getting everything to that point is no small task.
For people like me that love to tinker, customize and try to squeeze every last ounce of performance, HTPCs are great. Someone who just wants something that "just works" will most likely have to take another avenue.
That said I am in the process of setting up an HTPC for use with a NEC LT150.
