    Hi,
I just want to know, regardless of price, what is THE machine that beats all.
    Any opinions?
    Thanks,

A properly configured and tweaked home theater PC. Just about no other set top product regardless of price can touch the features and performance, but it takes talent and patience to get things just right.

Or, if you're like me and cringe at the thought of a Windows product in your HT, the Camelot Round Table and Ayre ??? have been widely hailed as the best standalone players currently available. But you'll be paying huge cash for the priviledge: US$4K for the Round Table and I think around $8K for the Ayre.

    Dan,
I'm pretty sure I don't want to do the PC thing.
