my speakers have these two little flaps you have to push and then put the wire in the hole and then let go of the flap. what is the best connector i can use to hook speaker wire to my speakers. I am not asking about the brand because i am going to get monster i want to know about type of connector

Most everyone around here considers Monster to be overpriced. They make decent stuff, but they charge too much for it.

If your speakers have little flaps, then your choices are pretty much limited to just using the wire (no additional connector) or using pin connectors.

Stay away from Monster! They are the Bose of the cable world.
They are WAY overpriced for what you get. For any cables or connectors you ever need, check out http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp for excellent quality, at cheap prices. For the clip type connection you describe, I'd just use the bare wire. Then you're assured the best possible connection with your speaker.

For the type of speaker terminal you are describing, a pin connector works best if you do not want to use just bare wire. You should be able to find such connectors at monoprice.com partsexpress.com or Radio Shack. Also, you will pay an unnecessary premium for Monster brand connectors, as others have already mentioned.
