What is the "best" 51" rptv to date

    These days, that is probably going to be a DLP.

    I don't really see them in 51" size....

    50" and 56" They seem to run about $3000 to $5000

    We have the Toshiba 51HX83 CRT rear projection. We are very pleased with it. Incredible picture quality.

    A panasonic 53" might also fit the bill. Continues to be a solid performer after calibration. Easily equaling or exceeding the performance of much more pricy rivals in terms of image quality.

    I keep hearing a lot about the Sony and Mitsibishi models in this class.
