The Sony KV-36XBR450 Wega is $1873.95 @ Crazie Eddies. I also see other models at my local Best Buy which seem to be a few $ more, like the model KV-36HS20, but what is the difference? Is the later the HD version?

It appears that everyone goes for the XBR450?

Please post your thoughts on these models and any deals on these too...Thanks.

The XBR450 is the highest end of the Sony 36" line. It incorporates reverse 3:2 pulldown lacking in the HS series. I believe there are other differences as well--the remote control, the design, the build quality, etc... Several reviewers have claimed that a standard interlaced DVD player fed to the XBR450 with "DRC Cinemotion" enabled looks better than a progressive DVD player. I have the 36XBR450 and I paid about $2300 shortly after they first came out. I would be weary of buying such a large and expensive piece of equipment online from an unauthorized vendor such as Cray Eddie. If you can find the XBR450 for $2300 or less, I think that would be a great price.

The 36XBR450 has the Auto 16:9 Enhanced Mode (V-Compression) where as the KV-36HS20 does not. They are both HD ready.
