I own Patriot (2000) soundtrack on CD and the scores are great. I'd like to buy more CD of his scores. Could you guys tell me which one I should buy? I'd like to sit back, relax and enjoy his musics (always beautifully composed [IMG]) Thanks [IMG]

My personal favorite is "Schindler's List". It's one of the most moving and haunting scores I've ever heard.

Home ALone 2 lost in New York. It is the best Christmas CD ever. It is Johns Williams with the Boston Pops.
    I love it.

Superman - The Movie is my favorite score by John Williams. The 2 disc complete recording is a great set. I highly recommend it.

Scott, I also love the score to 1941. It's a good album, but the score really comes to life when you listen to the isolated score on either the DVD or the CAV LD.

Neil - who loves John Williams

My favorite Williams score is from a not so great movie with an amazing score it didn't deserve: Jaws 2. The CD soundtrack is outstanding.

I can't believe no one mentioned Hook. That is one my favorites of his, has so many good tracks.

All the other ones mentioned are great and Empire Of The Sun is another good one I think

    Lyle,

While Superman The Movie is my favourite Williams score, I agree that Jaws 2 is also great. IMO, as a piece of music, it's even better than his score for Jaws. In particular, the piece titled The Catamaran Race is one of the most exhilarating, joyful, and exciting pieces of music I've ever heard.

My favorite Williams score is Empire Strikes Back. I think the incredible score for this film, especially the Imperial March, is one reason why this film seems to be most people's favorite of the Star Wars saga.

I love almost every John Williams score I've heard, but my favorite is definitely The Empire Strikes Back. That score is damn near perfect, IMHO.

Well, being the Star Wars geekboy that I am, I would have to say Star Wars. Out of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back is the best he's ever done. Simply incredible. I also like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Jaws.

Thanks for the replies guys! I really appreciate it!
I've heard the Imperial March score. It is one of the best score ever composed! I haven't watch Star Wars Episode 4-6 yet [IMG] On one of these days, I am gonna rent some VCDs of Star Wars.
May I know in which scene does this score take place? Fighting?
I think Empire Strike Back CD is a must-buy for John Williams' fan. What is the next one should I buy along? Harry Potter? E.T?
