First with Toy Story the kids are running around talking
about "woodies", now with Monsters Inc, my three year old
step daughter can't stop talking about the "one-eyed monster".
Sure it's good for some laughs for us, but sheesh, are
they doing this on purpose??

Tim,
Hopefully you were kidding. I think you're digging into this just a little too much. I don't think that their intentions were in a 'sexual' way what-so-ever.

Geez man...would you get your mind out of the gutter...I mean really.
I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but you...oh man...

I'm not digging into anything too much... my mind is always
in the gutter and that's just where I like it... yes, I was
kidding about it, I get a big laugh from it. But you have
to wonder how much thought they put into this, how often
they're chuckling to themselves picturing the playground...
"look mommy, that boy has a woody", or "hi, can I play with
your one-eyed monster?".
Pat: "how about that 'big hairy monster'?"
Are you talking to me, or is this still about Monsters Inc?

Well, in "Shrek", a Dreamworks movie, the bad guy is called Farquaad. I doubt it's a coincidence that this sounds just like F**kwad...

Mike, yes, the other ones I think are funny and possibly
innocent(probably not), but Farquaad surprises me, yes I
find it funny, but I'm surprised that none of the censors
stopped it. That one IMO is completely intentional.

What censors?
Movies receive ratings and Farquaad is certainly within the PG rating given to "Shrek."
I guess we'll know Pixar is up to something if their next film is about a little man in a boat or a trouser snake.

Tim, I think you're right. It's like the scene in Toy Story 2 where Jessie does an acrobatic trick in order to open the door to let the dog out, and Buzz looks stunned and his wings snap into place. If that wasn't supposed to denote sexual arousal on the part of Buzz, then I guess I'm in the gutter with ya. :)

One thing about the gutter... I've never been lonely there.
It starting to seem like Pixar is getting it's character
ideas/names from Austin Powers.

Pixar also has the tendency to go with the "cover your crotch when you are in a vulnerable or naked position".
Toy Story 2: The horse does this and walks off screen.
For the Birds(short before Monster's Inc.) The naked birds all cover up.
Monster's Inc: That poor red monster has to cover up.
I guess Pixar really loves that joke since it has been in 3 consecutive movies and shorts of theirs.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure about giving characters names like Buzz or Snow White either. Could be a drug thing.

The "cover your crotch" thing is old school. Pixar, I'm sure justs loves to homage to that gag.
Actually, what I miss are the signs characters would hold up that would mean jackass or they'd turn into a donkey. It took me forever growing up to figure out what they were alluding to.

I'm expecting their next film to have a beaver named
Virginia... she'll probably drive a Volvo too.

Did anyone else notice that in Cats and Dogs the snow sprayer had controls labled "Flock On" and "Flock Off"?
