    here's a pretty good explanation:
    dvd shrine - infinifilm
basically, i understand it as a "super-enhanced" extra's dvd. they go into greater depth about the subject matter at hand and have more extensive extras...again, focused more on the topic than the production.

For a movie like 13 Days, I felt Infinifilm was a most positive experience. I was always fascinated by the Cuban missile crisis so watching 13 Days in Infinifilm mode allows you to watch the movie and get relevant bits of related material popping up at the right times (like interviews with the real people, mini documentaries etc etc).
I feel the movie must be about something important that deals with real life in order for the experience to mean anything though.

I don't see what's so ground breaking about it, it just seems like a great dvd that Dreamworks or New Line does everyday.

What's groundbraking about it is the way the extras are incorporated into the movie, much like "follow the white rabbit" extras of The Matrix, except smoother and much more of it. You have the option of watching just the movie, just the extras, or the movie plus the extras together int he Infinifilm format.

I did search but only on Infinifilm in the forum. I didn't get anything that explained it, just people discussing it like everyone knew.
I had the idea that it must be some kind of seamless branching immersive controlling DVD from what people were saying.
Apologies for the title. I hadn't considered that kids use the forum.
    Cheers
    Theo

What is groundbreaking with Infinifilm is that New Line removed such important features as any support for any other languages than English and no subtitles in any languages (including English).

Yeah...but at least Infinifilm titles don't come in Snappers like regular New Line product. [IMG] Has Infinifilm replaced Newline's Platinum Series??? I can't remember a platinum release since Infinifilm started.
