I emailed my local CBS affiliate asking about when they'd set up for HDTV and they told me they'll be putting up a DTV station this summer and then a full HDTV rollout in 2004 or 2005.

So, is this like a 480p deal?

DTV stands for digital television, of which there are 18 different resolution formats divided into three major categories according to quality: SDTV (Standard Definition: 480i), EDTV (Enhanced Definition: 480p), and HDTV (High Definition: 720p/1080i).
