Hey Everybody,
I just picked up an external amp and I am going to use my receiver as a pre-amp. As the topic states, waht kind of cables do i use to hook the amp up to the receiver. I used an extra coax digital cable for my SVS subs, would i use that type of cable for the new HT amp? Thanks for any input.
Regards,
Dalton

Yes, the same kind of 75 Ohm coaxial cable that's used for video and digital audio will work fine for your analog audio connections to the amp. Even cheaper audio-only cables are available at places like Sears or Radio Shack.
You can spend lots of money on "boutique" cables, but you should find out how good a regular cable sounds in your system first. Then you'll be able to tell if the expensive cables make enough difference for you.
