1001 is just as good Eric :)
Where did you order 'Open' from? I can only find it for too much money on Canadian websites and Elusivedisc shows Out Of Stock. Sucks that I cannot get a Canadian band SACD for a good price here.

I probably should have bought that at Tower when I saw it a couple of weeks back. I bought too many other discs and figued I'd get it next week when it was cheaper. I had it in my hand. Can't complain though as I picked up stuff like a couple of AIX DVD-As for just over $7 each and a Chesky SACD for around $10.

Santa was good to me this year:

Beethoven, Spring & Kreutzer Sonatas: Anne Sophie Mutter

Beethoven, Violin Concerto, Romances: Anne Sophie Mutter

Beethoven, Fifth and Sixth Symphonies, Living Stereo.

All on SACD for when I need a little Ludwig Von to get me ready for a bit of ultra violence.

Shostankovich Symphony #4 (Gergiev), a blind request. (Also SACD)

(Also got Spartacus and The Searchers on HD DVD, Life is Good)

I picked it up from Music Direct.
19.99 + 6 for S&H.
Should arrive Tuesday.
If you want to look it up the catalog number is CZOESA1020.
Thanks Eric, got one on amazon.com for the same price. Music Direct hoses us for S&H to Canada unfortunately.

Good to hear.

I swear I looked on Amazon and they did not have it. Amazon.com or Amazon.ca?

I'll let everyone know how it is tomorrow, supposed to show up.

Got it this morning.

Initial listen...so-so...it still sounds muffled and poorly engineered. Not as bad as the CD I bought but I need to give it a proper listen in the right spot.

Maybe I was just spoiled by the sound of them on Soundstage. The wife picked up Bob Marley's Greatest hits released in 2002 and it sounds better engineered on CD than their SACD or CD.

Ouch. I'm hoping Whites Off Earth Now will be better. I thought a lot of their later stuff sounded a bit over produced. The first few albums definitely didn't have this problem.

Peter Gabriel - "Up" Hybrid surround SACD

This completes the "Up" trifecta for me, I now have three different high resolution surround releases titled "Up".
