The film was due on DVD on July 15 but was pushed to September due to a theatrical re-release on Disney's part. I can't find anything about a re-release so I'm thinking maybe it's delayed so that George Clooney can't put the director's cut on disc. Anyone heard anything lately?

September was the date of the theatrical rerelease, not the DVD release.

I don't think it is going to help any. The film got plenty of promotion, played all my theatres, but no one was interested in it. I liked the film, but was disappointed in it.

Geez, if the re-release isn't until September we won't get the DVD until December at the earlies. I agree with you, it's not the best but it was enjoyable in some moments. I saw it on opening day and there weren't more than ten people present. Went off around my area two weeks later.

It's strange that this title seems to be in limbo.

I thought the film was very good (even though it had Julia Roberts and Drew Barrymore in it), and Clooney did a wonderful job directing (worhty of a nomination in my opinion).

    I love Chuck Barris!

Thought the film did a great job portraying
    his life.

    Look forward to its release.

I agree with Joe and Travis. It was good, but a tad disappointing. I thought Clooney did a good job with his first directing gig, and Sam Rockwell was great as Barris.

Oh dag fellas, I wanted to run out today and pick this up, assuming it had been released.

If anyone can recommend something unique and fun like this would be appreciated.

25th Hour good enough to buy?

25th Hour, while quite different, is an excellent film and well worth purchase. I got a barely used copy for 10 bucks at Blockbuster the other day.

OK, So after long walking around with a friend in Best Buy, I picked up the only seen copy of 25th Hour and it felt so flimsy and bare..

I get home. I attempt to open it and this is the worst packaged DVD I have ever opened, the adhesive on the stickers (3 goddamn of them, damn Best Buy!!) sticks to the plastic leaving the grimy stuff and I have little rips in the covering due to the stubborness of the stickers. I don't even have an insert.

WTF- I hope this movie justifies my troubles.
