On searching this site, I have found that the DVD player I would like to purchase this week (the Toshiba SD4700) has issues with the Chroma bug...what exactly is that? I haven't bought my tv yet...I was planning on buying the DVD player first....so I can't compare and contrast the different DVD Players on a HDTV.....

When looking at red video content (like flames), if the picture looks like it makes honeycomb patterns in the red, that's the chroma bug.

During progressive scan DVD playback, also look for discolored horizontal streaks near the top and bottom edges of solid color patches. The chroma bug is more noticeable in cartoons or computer generated video where color boundaries are very sharp.
