What is the difference between an HP ipod and a Apple ipod? They look exactly the same (at least on the web), but wasn't sure if there was some specific difference (like being able to use Napster or Rhapsody.)

To my knowledge, there are no functional differences. The HP iPod has their logo on the back, and includes a year of phone support (instead of Apple's one call in the first 90 days).

No difference, except that the HP iPod has the HP name on it too. It's just co-branded because HP will sell them with their PCs and their PCs will come pre-loaded with iTunes. So if you want an iPod, just get whatever you find is cheapest.

HP also has more established retailer relations than Apple, so it's easier to get them on the shelves of stores.

No functional difference. I suspect that Apple will use the HP version for discounts though. The Apple brand thus doesn't get diluted and Apple can still stay competitive with the product offerings from Sony, Creative, etc.
