720p Input Capable (converted to 1080i) in newbies word please? and this to please DVI-HDTV Interface
This means that your TV will accept a signal that has 720 lines of resolution, and the P stands for progressive scan.
1080i means 1080 lines of resolution, and the i means Interlaced. Basically, Interlaced draws every secon line, on the screen, goes back and fills them all in, then repeats. Progressive is better, since it puts twice the lines on the screen at once.
So, visually, 540p = 1080i, 480P=960i
Seethis page for a the difference between the two.
Also, your set will accept the high res 720p output of an xbox!
