Hi, I've noticed a problem with my Sony DVD Player and am wondering if this is common with DVD Players... In scenes when it fades out and goes to the next scene in films (when the picture is pure black) or even when the menu is loading up, there appear to be many diagonal lines running down the screen.

I put the dvd into my xbox dvd player and the problem was not there. Could this have something to do with the way the player is hooked up? What could be causing this? Is my player starting to die? Please help!

Sounds like RF interference on the video cable. Try a a different cable with better shielding.

I am using the Monster Cable Component Cables 3... I paid 95 dollars for them....

Should I try and get a replacement? I will try normal composite through the player and see what happens...
