No, the ladyslipper orchids or any known orchids are not carnivorous at all and have no liquid inside their pouches. They are just hollow.

Today, a woman said that they reminded her of witches!

Yes, these exotic ladyslipper orchids are very slow growing very hard to grow and bloom plants.

I think they look alien like. But they are definitely cool! Reminds me of the "Dennis the Menace" movie with Walter Mathau when his rare plant finally blooms for about 4 seconds but they miss it because Dennis destroyed something. I'm just rambling now.
