I'm thinking of buying this amplifier. What are your opinions of it? I have heard the Parasound HCA-1500 and was impressed, but didn't find it all that interesting for 2-channel music from CD.
    I use B&W DM603 S2 speakers and a Denon 4800, which will then become the pre-amp.
    Cheers,
    Lewis.

The NAD 218 is a very nice amp. I owned a 208THX for a awhile and thought about upgrading to a 218, but prefered the sound of the older 208 better. Still, the 218 is a nice amp for music and should be able to be bought for a song, compared to some other audiophile amps.

I haven't listend to the 218 THX, but what John makes a lot of sense. NAD makes very musical amps for little money. I use an NAD C 370 integrated amp for music in my main system and a C 350 amp in my second system. They are excellent amps for the price.
