I just got a panasonic 34wx50. What do i need to connect the xbox and ps2 to the component video outputs in the hdtv? I know this sounds like a dumb question, but i am very to new to the home theater world. Also, i know the ps2 has an optical output, but i cant seem to find the xbox's optical cable output. Thanks.!!!!

To hook up the XBox for HD, you will need the High Definition A/V Pack (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categorie...p?pf_id=209496) as well as a TV that accepts component inputs. This A/V Pack also has the optical output on it. For some reason it's not on the console itself (just another way to get your money I guess). I think Monster makes component XBox cables as well, but they're about 3 times the price.
As far as I know, the PS2 games are not High Definition and never will be. For better video quality though, it's still a good idea to hook it up via component video. You'd have to buy those cables separately as well.
