What do digital stations broadcast when not doing 1080i?

    They can be upconverting regular NTSC material or just passing the analog 480i signal thru..Some of the fox locals are sending 480p...Even the 480i pass thru's look much better than analog though..

    It depends on the station. In Dallas, WFAA-HD (ABC) broadcasts HDTV demo material when they are not picking up the network feed or showing local news. Incredible stuff.

    Thanks Mike & Steve. HD demo material would be nice, especially since I need a long-enough HD feed to perform the HD convergence on my TW40X81.
