I realize that looks dont mean anything in terms of how a speaker will perform, But I was actually thinking of upgrading the woofer in my sub to something else. since the driver is visible i want to have a speaker which is also pleasing to the eye and performs better than my current driver (Phoenix Gold Octane R12d) in a 3Ft^3 sealed box.
    12" or 15" and around 350W RMS/4 Ohms.

What exactly is FS and what does it mean?

I know it is the free air resonance freq of the driver, but i still dont quite understand how it relates to the performence.

Also with those graphs shown on the site, why do they look like a mountain??? is that normal?

See i was using bassbox pro for my stuff, and it always seems to show a flat line until the rolloff.... but im thinking that this prog is a little on the messed up side.

    BTW those are nice, thanks.

oh and would a 15" be better for low low bass? amd in what types of situations? because it seems as if a 12" would make the best subwoofer. opr a 12" with the help of a 15" for the lowest of the lows.

You dont get much of a better build quality or finish as the Rocket or Ref's from AV123.com. Lots of intensive hand labor goes into those cabinets.. Plus the speakers sound geat as a bonus.

Im talking about the driver itself, not the cabinet.

The RBH speakers have aluminum drivers. Real beauts, IMHO, take a look at rbhsound.com.
Also, you can order any of 30 or so wood finishes that are also superb looking. They also happen to sound great, of course depending on your own ear. For some reviews, visit audioholics.com.
