Is it safe to use Windex to clean my screen protector on my Toshiba HDTV?
No windex!! ... it will take the/any tint coating off the screen!!
Water or warm breath is best.
I agree. My dealer told me to use a rag with a little water. If I can wring out any water, the rag is too wet.
Just use a soft slightly damp cloth..As mentioned previously never use windex...The ammonia in windex will discolor your screen
While browsing at Circuit City I saw Monster now makes a Screen cleaner. Has anyone tried this yet?
I find that a quart or two of warm water with just a little bit of liquid Spic & Span works nicely. Use a soft, lint-free rag - damp. Dry with the same type of rag (don't use paper towels! over time, this will scratch the surface). Just warm water is OK, but I find the soap helps cut any finger print oils or smoke residue with less elbow grease.
I use camera lens cleaning spray and a microfiber cloth.
