Right now I have the following
yamaha rxv-730
energy c-1's as fronts and rears
JBL pb10 sub
and energy center channel

I dont want to buy anything new just to get that out of the way. Also keep in mind all I have done right now is plug everything in. What kinds of settings can I change in order to maximize their performance?

The best way to get the most out of your system is to pick up a Radio Shack SPL meter and a calibration disc such as Avia, Video Essentials, or Sound & Vision Guide to HT Tune Up. Either of these discs will take you step by step through completely calibrating your system (audio and video) the best possible w/out bringing in an ISF calibrator. These are pretty much essentials for anyone involved in HT.

If you don't want to buy a calibration disc, atleast get the SPL meter and use either your receiver's internal test tones or those found in the THX optimizer on any THX DVD to properly adjust the individual speaker levels.

Hope this helps :)
