What brand of spades do you recommend for making my own speaker wires?

I am considering making speaker cables using the Canare Star Quad line. Is there a de facto spade lug that people use? Also what is the best method of connecting them? Can I use crimps or do I need to solder them (which I have never done).

    Gregg,

Whats your $ limit. If its pretty high than I may suggest WBT. Expensive but great. I've seen them for $14 ea at partsexpress.com Check out their connectors section. They have a wide variety of solder and crimp type. IMHO crimping is best but solder will work. Just practice on some scrap wire.

    Good luck!
