Currently reading the 4th book concerning Colter Shaw (CBS's Tracker) by Jeffery Deaver - Hunting Time.

Seems like plenty of novel series are being mined for streaming and ad supported television shows. Many of them I have been reading for years and find their visual representations to be intriguing.

I have also been reading novels by John Sandford featuring Lucas Davenport and Virgil Flowers.

I saw Peterson discussing this book on TV or YouTube. Sounds interesting. It may be my next book after I finish reading a biography of Stanley Kubrick.
I just started it and it looks to be a challenging and rewarding read. Will follow up when I get a little further along.

I had jury duty Monday and during our 1.5 hour lunch break I walked to the nearby library and started to read David McCullough's book about the Wright brothers. I liked what I read so I checked it out. It is really good.

The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave
Interesting thriller that takes some turns I definitely didn’t expect. Hannah receives a cryptic note from her husband Owen, delivered by a student who says the man said it was an urgent matter. Hannah has to explain this, among other things, to her sixteen year old stepdaughter with whom she has an icy relationship at best. There are enough interesting turns in the first half (partially written in flashbacks) that when the story shifts gears it’s another story to tell. I read most of it in a weekend (a real rarity for me). Part of the reason is I want to catch the miniseries version on Apple TV+ before my free trial ends! 😆

Slowly going through The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings books, my eyes aren't what they used to be so it takes me a while. Currently about 70% thru Fellowship. Its a wonderful world I have to revisit every few years & I'm enjoying it as much as I did the first time I read 'em.

I just ordered this from an indie bookstore. My copy should arrive sometime next week.

Amazon also finally shipped my copy of Gypsy. I'd been waiting on this for some time. There appears to be a resurgence of interest in the book because of the current Broadway revival of the musical with Audra McDonald.

James S. A. Corey, authors of The Expanse saga, released the first book in a new series, The Captives War. I listened to it the past month, and I’m really into it. Hoping they are able to hit the annual cadence they had for The Expanse!

Murderbot is coming to AppleTV, this spring I think. I’d read the first novella a while back and wasn’t into it. But I’ve seen a lot of praise for the series since, and with the streaming series coming, I thought I’d try again. This first book still doesn’t do much for me. But I’m still looking forward to a new scifi show.
