I'm not sure what studio owns the rights to this one, but here it goes..........
Boys Town with Mickey Rooney & Spencer Tracey.:) :) :)
This would make my day along with the 100 or so titles mentioned above.

What I'd like to see on DVD very soon:

More Disney Classics (and Treasures)

I don't want this generation of children to grow up without seeing Aladin or Lion King on DVD not to mention all of the other great stuff they have but haven't released yet!

The Indiana Jones Trilogy

Star Wars!!!

African Queen

Dial M for Murder

To Catch a Thief!!

Bell Book and Candle

I don't care about anything except "Fellowship of the Ring" in a glorious 4-hour director's cut with loads of everything.
If you're reading this New Line it goes without saying this was part of the deal. We understood you had to get something out the door under 3 hours for mass consumption but we fans want the whole damn thing and then some.
Needless to say, make it beautiful with DTS and you can pretty much charge what you like.

Of course the Apu Trilogy would always make my year too :)

The Color Purple (non-flipper)

Houdini (Tony Curtis)

Naked Lunch

Strange Brew

It seems to me that someone said Strange Brew would be coming in 2002. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Anamorphic, if applicable:

Time after Time (1979 Malcolm McDowell)

The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938 with Errol Flynn.)

Young Sherlock Holmes

Ivanhoe (1952 Elizabeth Taylor)

The Robin Hood movies (tv episodes?? from the early-mid 80's ..starring Michael Praed) I only saw a few of them, but really liked what I saw.

Fire and Ice (animated, 1983 ..Ralph Bakshi)

Battlestar Galactica (1979)

Omega Man (1971, Charlton Heston)

Soylent Green (1973, Charlton Heston)

Being that in the past year we have had my top two hits...

The Aussie version of Mad Max and Rififi I am pretty happy. Now if Branaugh's Hamlet and SOB would mysteriously appear it would be complete (along with all of the other juicy titles already mentioned).

Well going through these lists I am pleased to be able to tell some of you that, as far as I am aware, the following are gonna be released at some point before the end of 2003...

Once Upon in a Time in America (Warner 2003)

Once Upon a time in the West (Paramount 2002)

The Haunting (1963) (Warner 2002)

El Cid (Miramax undergoing restoration)

Fall of the Roman Empire (Miramax undergoing restoration)

Dial M for Murder (Warner flat version)

Near Dark (Anchor Bay 2002)

55 Days at Peking (Miramax undergoing restoration)

Day the Earth stood still (Fox)

The Keep (Paramount 2003)

Millers Crossing (Fox)

Raging Bull SE (MGM 2002)

To Live and Die in LA (MGM)

House of Wax (Warner flat 2002)

King Kong (Warner 2003)

Zulu (MGM 2002)

Pulp Fiction SE (Miramax 2002)

Jackie Brown SE (Miramax 2002)

High Anxeity (Fox 2002)

Schindlers List (Universal 2002)

and talking of lists, perhaps if we kept our lists to our top twenty most wanted, rather than 200...., then perhaps they'll be more chance of seeing some of these appear within the next couple of years - as if the studio heads can't be bothered to look through a huge list then....

Regards to all
