Street Fighter (Arcade): I've logged beaucoup time playing Street Fighter. Best version has got to be SF Alpha 2. I'd buy one for my home but it would consume my life.
Final Fantasy (Nintendo/Playstation): I've played them all.
Super Mario Kart (Super Nintendo): The only reason I visit my friend Ted is to futher display my utter dominance of that game--and to make him cry like a little girl. I am the king of the backwards green shell shot.
Battletoads (Nintendo): That racer stage was killer.
Bard's Tale 2 (Commadore 64): Like a previous poster, I too lost much of my childhood to a version of that game. I remember a trick where you could teleport to a room full of 99 groups of 99 berzerkers each. Much experience points. Cha-ching!
And last but certainly not least (maybe even first) is...
M.U.L.E. (C64 again): I recently found a version I could download off the net. It looks just like it did back in the day. I think I hugged my monitor when I saw that M.U.L.E. walk across the screen. Been playing it over and over again since.
If you want to try the game then go here. You will have to not only download the game but download a C64 emulator.

Hmm, my favorite games...
All the Mario games. Hell, I have 3 cds worth of downloaded tracks and sound effects to listen to while driving around. :) Bassing to Mario remixes is too much fun.
NHL '94 (Genesis or SNES) probably my favorite game of all time. I never seem to get tired of this game. Ever.
Super Black Bass - I got addicted to this game in the 10th grade. I remember competing with my friend who could get the biggest bass. Don't remember who ended up winning.
Wrestlemania Arcade game (and I HATE wrestling) - I remember the good old days of getting stoned and playing 2 player on this game. My friend and I would each be Doink the clown and just repeatedly hammer the face and crotch of a fallen foe. It was just one of those moments in time I guess.
Other honorable mentions: MKII, Donkey Kong Country, Mario Karts, Secret of Mana, Gran Turismos, Halo, some others that I'm forgetting...
