We have the "Bad movies you hate" thread already.

So what about bad movies you like?

For me the list would have to include (in no particular order)
  • Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
  • Strange Brew
  • Repo Man

Blair Witch Project 2
- Okay it didn't really make much sense and it was a mess but it was fun.

Super Mario Bros.
- It had nothing to do with the video game but hearing Mario go "I'm going to break every bone in his body!" always makes me laugh.

Street Fighter
- This is such a fun movie! I dunno why everybody hates it.

Motel Hell
- I don't consider this a bad movie, but a lot of people think so. I like it! "I used... Perservatives!"

Freddy Got Fingered
- Am I the only one who sees the genius behind this movie?

Gone Fishing
- I guess the only reason I like this one is because my dad was a fisherman so I remember him watching this movie and just laughing away... Aw, memories.

Nothing but Trouble
- All the scenes with Dan Aykroyd are worth the price of admission in my book.

There are a lot more "bad movies" that I enjoy.. 13 Ghosts, Feardotcom, Very Bad Things, Planet of the Apes (Tim Burton Remake), Fritz the Cat, 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag, Monkeybone, Set it Off, Swordfish...

Super Mario Bros. is a guilty pleasure... excellent production values and actually a decent movie.

I could watch Manos: The Hands of Fate countless times... although, probably better without the MST3K riffing. :D

Uhm, it's a grade B sci-fi flick and it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Don't get me wrong, I love that movie but Citizen Kane it ain't.
And yet I can't remember the last time I saw any critic give Repo Man less than a good review. "Critically acclaimed" and "bad movie" just don't go together IMO :)

This has taken a lot of courage but I think I'm ready to admit that I like

Pulp Fiction
Casablanca
Lord of the Rings
Citizen Kane

And the list goes on...

How about someone starting a thread titled -
Favorite movies regarded as bad by others, but not by me!
It's a mouthful and so is that title, foggedit.

But going by that I'd pick David Lynch's Dune (1984), my favorite good/bad film ever.
I think it's good, everyone else thinks it's bad.:D

Back to the thread subject...

Howard the Duck (the master of quack-fu)
Hudson Hawk
Robocop 2
Highlander II (so awful it's good)
Lifeforce ("don't worry, a naked girl isn't getting out of this building!")
Flesh Gordon ("Oh no! It's a penisaurus")
Judge Dredd

Eh, it's a just The Conversation and North By Northwest squeezed together with more action minus the genius.

I have enjoyed watching the movie, Dirty Dancing. People told me that I must be gay for liking that movie.

Despite the fact that it looks like crap compared with the original, I've always had a fondness for the 1976 version of King Kong.
I also have a liking for Gorgo, Orca the Killer Whale & The Land that Time Forgot
I'd mention the Godzilla movies too, but when seen subtitled and OAR they're not bad anymore :)

Showgirls, of course. Any film where there is a discussion about the joys of eating dog food has to have something going for it.
