There are three movies that are opening that day.

    Bewitched
    Dukes of Hazzard
    Herbie: Fully Loaded

All three are remakes of either tv shows/movies.

Bewitched stars Nicole Kidman, Will Ferrell, Shirley Maclaine and Steve Carrell.

Dukes stars Johnny Noxville, Sean William Scott, and Jessica Simpson.

    Herbie stars Lindsay Lohan.

If you can only see one of them that night which is it going to be and why?

To answer my own question I will definitely be seeing Bewitched because I have been waiting for a BW movie for the longest time.

I will see Dukes later on but I think it sounds dumb from what I've read...I mean come on, Bert Reynolds as Boss Hogg? And Jessica Simpson (even though she's hot as hell) as Daisy? I really wanted Carmen Electra as Daisy.

I won't be seeing Herbie cause I never liked the originals and this doesn't look too promising either.

If I had to choose, and the only options were one of those three movies or a horrible horrible death, I would choose Dukes of Hazard.

The reason is that it is directed by Jay C. of the Broken Lizard team.

I'd like to see what he does with it visually and how the cast responds to him.

You'd have a hard time getting me to any of those at gunpoint.

None of the above [IMG] They might find it tough to even show up on a list of rentals for me...

I would agree with the "None of the above" camp...

Good to see HTF isn't jaded. [IMG]

probably Bewitched, I'll hold off the other two until I see trailers, I'm a Herbie fan since I was three though, so I may have to see that.

Probably none of those. Dukes could be an option, if done well, since that was a childhood favorite.

Isn't there anything better out this coming June?

Personally, none of those really does it for me. However, my 4 year old daughter saw the preview for Herbie before The Pacifier and was interested, so I'll probably have to take her.

Bewitched, but I'll probably wait for DVD. It doesn't look like it's worth a theater visit to see, but I'm interested because Kidman's staring.

The other two look like *crap*, and I used to like DoH .... when I was 7.

Damn. I'm impressed. Without even seeing any of the films, so many HTFers already know the films are complete crap. I wish I had that ability. I've never known that a film was complete crap until after I saw it.

I don't think we're saying that (at least I'm not). All that I'm saying is that these films currently hold ZERO interest for me. Maybe that will change, but I wouldn't hold too much hope. I highly question the concept and the reasoning behind making each of these films, but to each his own.

That said, I have a list of thousands of movies that I have not seen and still want to ranging from 1915 to the present, and I simply don't have time to waste watching films that hold no interest for me. This is the same reason that I commented in the "Worst Film of the Year" thread a few weeks ago.

There's a HUGE difference between saying "I don't want to see that film", and saying "That film sucks", even though you haven't seen it.

I'm not sure that everyone is of the opinion that all three of them are complete crap, but a majority (including me) are certainly of the opinion that they are not worth spending the money and effort on to see in the theater. And perhaps you should do some searches, as the argument about 'judging films without seeing them' has been hashed out many times.

I definitly won't be seeing any of these in the theater, I'll prolly rent Bewitched for the Nicole Kidman factor, and to a lesser degree Will Ferrel is sometimes pretty funny....though he is very hit or miss when he hits it's pretty good.
