Looking for continuations of ....

Law and Order (S5-S13, S15)
Law and Order SVU (S3-4, S6)
Law and Order Criminal Intent (S2, S4)
West Wing (S6)
ER (S5+)
Pretender (S3-S4)

I fully expect some releases in these series in 2006, though I really do wish that the universal sets would come out at a faster clip. That's a LOT of Law and Order still on the unreleased shelf. It wouldn't be too hard to fill in SVU and CI so they are at least continuous. I don't expect Law and Order Trial By Jury, though I'd like that too.

What I have suspicions of...

Seaquest DSV

It's recent abortive announcement to the retail community at least suggests that it's not far from the minds of studeo, and I'm hoping that while it's not coming in 2005 that does bode well for 2006.

Things I've heard nothing of and would really like to see (and believe there is a market for)

Picket Fenses
The Practice

And lastly, things that have no chance of coming but I'd sell my own mother for...

China Beach (Muisc Rights Hell)
JAG (My understanding is that this can not be released until the current syndication contract is up, does anyone know how long that has to run on it, I believe NBC/USA Network has it right now but I could be wrong).

My wish list for 2006

The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.

Gunsmoke

More seasons of Dynasty

Peyton Place- why hasn't Fox put out the grandaddy of primetime soaps on DVD yet-?

Honey West

Batman- the 1966 classic with Adam West

Vintage variety shows like The Hollywood Palace, Donny & Marie, The Dean Martin Show

Strange Paradise (Canada'a answer to Dark Shadows)

An American Family- the original reality show- see the Loud family almost disintergrate before your eyes!

More Doctor Who releases, but in sequential order. Start with Story #1 "An Unearthly Child" and go from there.

American Bandstand compilations

The Mod Squad- now, THAT was a cool show!

Both U.N.C.L.E. shows

The FBI- An inspiration to Dick Wolf?

Rich Man, Poor Man- the show that first demonstrated the power of the miniseries

Mission: Impossible- the heck with Tom what's his name- I want Peter Graves, Martin Landau, Barbara Bain et cetera!

If I can get first time DVD releases for at least two of the above shows for the coming year, I'll be very happy.

Mine are in my signature. What a  sight to see that there are more HTF'ers that are "bionic" fans :D Since those 2 series are coming out in R2 in a few days, maybe '06 for R1's?

Great list, Charles Ellis :D I saw a lot of the same ones that I'm waiting for releases.

Nice to see that there are a lot of us who want to see vintage shows on DVD. BTW Jeff, I'm also praying for a Perry Mason release. The bionic shows are "can't miss"- of course Universal's gonna release them! I do have fond memories of spending Sundays with Steve Austin, Oscar Goldman, Jaime (that is the correct spelling)Sommers, Rudy Wells et al. I'm even looking forward to the "Bigfoot" episodes with Stefanie Powers and possibly one of the cheesiest TV moments ever- Jaime 'singing' "Feelings" as an undercover contestant in the Miss United States pageant!

I hope you're right (for R1 releases). Sometimes it seems that R2 folks get them a lot sooner. I'll get the R2's only if it looks like R1's aren't coming by next March or Apr.

Twin Peaks Season 2
And somehow incorporating the pilot into a Season 2 set, a repackaged Season 1 set, or even just standalone at an affordable price (no imports).

La Femme Nikita
Season 4+5 packaged into one, to wait another year or 2 for the few episodes of season 5 would be annoying

Roseanne
Which they're doing at a brisk pace, hope they keep it up

The Adventures of Sinbad, Season 2
A pipe dream at best, this seems abandoned. Season 1 was only released from Canada, and its amazon.ca entry doesn't even have a picture. I guess its distribution budget was in line with its production budget hehe

Pirates of Darkwater
Loved that cartoon

Gummi Bears
With the DuckTales/Chip n Dale format, not the Quack Pack/Goof Troop

You Can't Do That On Television

Is this one scrapped for good after the latest news?
