I'm not trying to cause any DTS/DD wars, but I was curious if anyone thought it would be possible that Chicago will get a DTS track. I am one of the few who feel that DTS tends to really show off in more detailed/musical tracks (rather than loud "'splosion" tracks), and this is the first movie I've seen in awhile where I've said "this has GOT TO have a DTS track.

So what do you think? Miramax is a Mouse company, but other than Pulp Fiction/Jackie Brown, I can't think of any Miramax movies with a DTS track. Any chance last year's best picture will get the audio treatment that it deserves?

Sure, anything's possible. And since you've already noticed that Miramax and Disney have doen DTS tracks in the past, it's entirely possible.

The Crow had a DTS track, so I am sure that Chicago will.

Approximately 50% chance. It will either get one or it won't get one.

CHICAGO had better be a 2-disc release. It deserves tons of extras and DTS!

I'd bet they'll have a 2 disc set for 'Chicago'.

As for DTS, I think chances are 50-50 [IMG]

Disney didn't include DTS for SIGNS, though THE SIXTH SENSE had it.

Didn't include the second disc either making it a pretty crappy "Vista" series.
Of course I missed out on The Vista of 6th sense by saving $$ with a 2-pack purchase of Unbreakable (which WAS Vista Series with DTS).

Haven't seen CHICAGO yet. If it's so wonderful why don't they release it to more theaters? [IMG] It's actually finally in my area now, but not in Digital sound (maybe not even surround) at my closet theatre so I'll pass for now.
I'd be in a much bigger hurry to see it if it weren't for Renee Zeillwegger. I just don't like her. Never have.
I'll stick with Nicole and Moulin Rouge in DTS.

Not to be a thread crasher, especially since the film may be quite good in spite of being subjected to Renee Pigwiggler, I DO hope Chicago gets a DTS track. I think any movie musical should have it. I wasn't too happy with the DD remix of Grease. I remembered it sounding much better when I saw it in DTS at the theater. Maybe now that Paramount is starting to do DTS, they can do a real Grease Special edition with DTS sound, a good transfer, a real box and everything!!

DTS would be great. Would it be worthwhile to contact Miramax?
