That is no way to go through life. Do you have any options that would shorten up that commute at least?

The commute is what it is. I live an hour away from work with little to no traffic. With the overtime I’m working, I’m now getting out of work right in the middle of Little Rock rush hour and there’s always a traffic accident (or multiple accidents) that stretches my afternoon commute from an hour to two or three hours. We have a position open that we’re trying to fill but so far we’ve had no qualified applicants. Last night I got 3 hours and 32 minutes of sleep so I’m absolutely spent. On the bright side, I don’t have to be up early in the morning so when I go to bed in a few minutes, I’ll probably sleep 10-12 hours.

That Twitter made it impossible for me to reactivate the old account that I started in April of this year (had deactivated it earlier, but then thought better of it); apparently, when I deactivated, Twitter thought I wanted to be off permanently. I had to make a new one just earlier.

    Hi Howie!

Were you deactivated for 30 days or longer? If so, that would account for you having to make a new account.

    CHEERS! :)

I'm not Howie, I'm Ben. And BTW, it was only today that I deactivated it; it was earlier today that I tried to reactivate it.

Sorry Ben! Massive misread on my part, YIKES!!!!

Regarding your Twitter, I don't know what happened, then. You SHOULD HAVE had 30 days to reactivate your account!

    CHEERS! :)

Follow up on the house process, and I think I might have moved beyond annoyed.

Buyer comes back and takes half the items off the list. Still had a couple of big ticket items that we didn't want to do. One not so much for the price but because it was the stupidest thing we had ever seen on a real estate document after clean the gutters. We got them to drop that stupid item.

Then I have to negotiate with my wife. Her main concern is that we're not gonna get any other offers for a while if the house goes back on the market and thinks its worth a thousand dollars to just get it over with. I got to the point where I'll do most of the repairs just to get this mess done, but I would prefer to remove the other big ticket item or get back the $1500 credit we gave for a carpet allowance. Originally, I didn't want to offer the full $2000 off for the repairs, but I rounded up because it was the convenience of not having to deal with the repairs myself. Therefore, I feel like the cost of repairs that we actually do should be less than what we were offering to take off the price.

Instead, the repairs are going to cost us more than that. Basically, I don't see how we're getting anything out of negotiations other than getting rid of the house. And this first time home buyer that doesn't know crap about houses is getting all of these concessions that aren't necessary.

The lesson learned from this one - don't offer anything in house negotiation prior to the home inspection.

Not so much an annoyance as a source of bemusement. Last year, my sister decided to move to California from Colorado. Yesterday she called me on the way back from Catalina. "There are too many people and too many freeways here!". My response: You were expecting something else?

Amazon delivered a package. I didn't see it at my front door. I didn't see it next to the garage. It wasn't in my mailbox.

Nope, they walked around back and set it next to the fence in an area I rarely walk past, and definitely wouldn't see at night. The only reason I found it was because of the picture they left with the tracking.

So, points for putting it in a place that was relatively safe. But minus points for leaving it out where it could have gotten rained on. The kicker is that the way my front porch is built, it's easy to shelter packages from the weather and keep them concealed enough.

I wanted to try to contact Amazon to complain, but instead found an option where you can choose where they leave your packages. So next time...next time they will get it.

That it's the end of November, we've already had several nights down close to zero degrees, and several days with highs only in the teens and 20's, yet somehow we still have insects flying around outside.

Hasn't been cold enough long enough to get to into their lairs. Those will stay warmer so it needs to hit those low temps for a few weeks to kill them.
