A friend has asked me for advice on a new purchase, and while I have my own ideas (which I will post later, to avoid swaying you [IMG] ), I would like to know what you would recommend, based upon the following criteria:
Listening Preference: 100% exclusive to music right now, will move toward DVD-A, SACD and HT at a later date. (taste leans toward Blues, Jazz, Classical)
What's needed: CD-capable player, receiver, pair of speakers, cabling.
    Budget: $2500 CAD ($1800 USD)
    Room: 20' x 22' x 10' ceilings
So, if this was your friend, what advice would you give? Thanks in advance for your feedback!!
    Derek

Okay, Here's what I was thinking of recommending to her...

Panasonic RP 72 (cds in stereo for now, DVD-A and HT later)
    Denon 2802
Paradigm Studio 40s or 60s (Canadian pricing)
AR pro interconnects, and some Canare 4S11 I have kicking around for speaker wire.

    ...well, whatcha think? Good advice?
