What a Disappointment!
Looked at new dvd players Toshiba 3750 and panny Rp56
Both are very slow on layer changes! and slower on menu moves than my old Apex-Ad 600a when using Avia.
Is this normal with new dvd players ? I had this layer problem with my old 2109

I read a Denon 2800 is FAST. Might look at one.

I've had a JVC-XVS60 for about 3 weeks now and it has been outstanding with layer changes. Shrek and Swordfish, there was no pause at all, none. So far, the only disk that it made a noticable pause on was The Patroit. This player still amazes me.

I second the JVC XVS60. A great player, especially for under $250.
