This one may be stretching it, even for this draft. I'll let Erik decide.

High Sierra

If that's overruled, I select something else.

George, in a Draft you may select any movie you'd like. If you feel it qualifies, that's good enough for me. Whether or not it was a good selection, well, the vote will determine that, I suppose. ;) :)

Since Fort Apache was already selected by Justin, Rand go ahead and make another selection

Me x 2

And I have a proposal-Do you guys want to end it at 8 Rounds, or continue to 10? If we go 8, my next two picks will complete it. I can still go 10, but I'll go with whatever the majority wants. Please post some feedback, thanks. :)

The Cowboys

I don't have a strong preference either way. Eight or ten rounds works for me. Whatever you want to do, Erik.

Okay, 10 Rounds it shall be.

My next two selections:

Sam Peckinpahs outstanding ode to the Old West:

The Ballad of Cable Hogue

and the sweeping epic:

How the West Was Won

...or the 1995 Ellen Barkin / Larry Fishburne flick!

...and am I nuts or wasn't there a war movie called Bad Company also? I can see the VHS box in my head.

Whoops. Not my turn yet.

Well, IMDB says that there are 14 title matches for Bad Company. Don't know about a war film with that title. (???)

My last selection (of course) is the Robert Benton film that stars Jeff Bridges. Paramount released this on DVD last June.

El Dorado

It's not nearly as good as Rio Bravo, but it's better than Rio Lobo.

Scott is up.

Eric, you forgot to list Major Dundee (my pick between The Shootist and Fort Apache), so if you could fix that I'd appreciate it. :)

BTW: I have a bunch of Westerns left. Does anybody want to extend the draft to twelve or fifteen rounds? :D

Since I'm already long out of 'real' westerns, I'd rather not, but I've got lots more western comedies if needed.

I kind of hate to do this, but I gotta have a Clint movie.

Paint Your Wagon

While I like musicals, this one would have been a much better movie without the singing.

Since I don't know how many rounds we're going I'll go ahead with three picks, including the one I flubbed with Fort Apache.

3:10 to Yuma

The Man From Laramie

The Alamo

Oh, and Scott, I'd already selected Pale Rider.
