Well, just ordered the box set. Thanks. Now I gotta go sell my NOES 1,3, and 7 discs.
At any rate, what are some of the extras included on the 8th disc? I have 1,3, and 7, and those are really the only ones I'm interested in owning. Just curious as to what all the 8th disc contains.Interviews, and more interviews, and even more interviews. The 8th disc in the Nightmare set is truly a Godsend for anyone who is a fan of the series.
While no deleted scenes are included (only two alternate endings for part 1) no one can certainly complain about the lack of behind the scenes interviews (every Nightmare director and most of the writers are interviewed, including Chuck Russell, Renny Harlin, Stephen Hopkins, and Frank Darabont), all the Nightmare principals are interviewed (Wes Craven, Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon) and even some guests are interviewed (Clive Barker and New Line producer Robert Shaye).
There are also 3 music videos included on the disc, including "Are You Ready For Freddy" by The Fat Boys and "Dream Warriors" by Dokken. On top of that, there are trailers for each film and original Freddy promos for MTV that aired before music videos were shown.
So, yeah...the 8th disc is worth it.
